Intermediate Hydrogeologist

Our company is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario. We are currently looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team.

Requirements:
- Relevant university degree in hydrogeology, engineering, or geology (advanced/graduate level degrees considered an asset).
- Strong understanding of applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Groundwater data analysis, and flow and transport modelling experience using industry standard software.
- Experience with Water Supply Source Assessments in ON, and with performance of pumping tests.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment where teamwork and collaboration are paramount.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with an unwavering commitment to quality.
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Experience liaising with clients, stakeholders and agencies, including public consultation and presentations would be an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Main Duties:
- Provide field and technical support to a wide variety of hydrogeology and environmental projects; including the preparation and supervision of field programs, data collection, data analysis, and technical report writing and proposal preparation in collaboration with senior staff.
- Design and conduct field investigations such as drilling and core logging, test pitting, soil and bedrock characterization, monitoring well installation, hydraulic response testing, soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water sampling, installation of groundwater instrumentation.
- Assisting intermediate and senior staff prepare technical proposals and reports including, hydrogeology characterization assessments, impact assessments, construction dewatering assessments, groundwater supply studies, environmental site assessments, remediation, and groundwater and surface water monitoring reports.
- Prepare EASR and PTTW registrations/applications.
- Provide mentorship and technical coaching to more junior technical staff.
- Other duties as required.
