Senior Tapered Insulation Estimator / Project Manager
Reporting to the Tapered Estimating Manager, the Senior Tapered Insulation Estimator / Project Manager – Toronto Region will be responsible for the estimating of tapered insulation projects, on-site support as well as servicing all professionals in the roofing industry. She / He will also ensure supervision of the tapered department at a local level.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize requests for quotes received by representatives, clients or through targeted projects on various websites.
- Interpret plans, specifications and addenda and ensure that all information is clear. When required contact with representatives, customers and / or professionals who completed the plans and specs for clarification.
- Manage and prioritize the execution of clients’ projects and coordinate planning with production. Follow up with clients on projects from start to finish.
- Ensure the validation of on-site measurements, if required, offer support in the event of complex situations requiring a site presence.
- Provide support to project managers and estimators when required.
- Act as the resource person for the local estimating team, local colleagues, and industry professionals.
- Manage and mobilize the local team of tapered estimators.
- Perform all other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience
Academic Training
- Civil Engineering Technology
Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial roofing industry.
- 3 years’ experience in the field of tapered insulation
- Knowledge of Autocad
- Knowledge of TaperPlus
Skills and Attitudes
- Leadership
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good communication skills (oral and written) in English.
- Bilingual French and English in both oral and written is an asset.
Working Conditions and/or physical demands
- Days, 40 hours per week
- Site work
- Visits to construction sites
- Going up and down ladders to access the roofs
