Overview
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cycle Count Specialist to join our supply chain and warehouse management team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimizing warehouse operations, and supporting demand planning processes. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, experience with ERP systems, and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhance overall inventory accuracy within a dynamic distribution environment.
Manufacturing Environment Required
Duties
- Conduct regular cycle counts across warehouse locations to ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400, and 3PL systems to record and analyze inventory data.
- Perform data mining and analysis using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with procurement, purchasing, and sourcing teams to address stock discrepancies and optimize materials management.
- Support demand planning by providing accurate inventory data to forecast future needs effectively.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives related to inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution strategies.
- Participate in audits and coordinate with cross-functional teams to enhance data collection methods for better analysis.
- Maintain detailed documentation of cycle count activities and inventory adjustments for compliance purposes.
Skills
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, or similar platforms used in supply chain management.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution, materials management, procurement, and retail management processes.
- Familiarity with demand planning, forecasting techniques, MRP systems, and Sourcing strategies.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets through analysis skills and data mining techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills for vendor interactions related to procurement or sourcing issues.
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and 3PL logistics providers.
- Skills in process improvement methodologies aimed at increasing efficiency within supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of e-commerce order fulfillment processes and retail merchandising practices is a plus.
- Forklift operation certification is desirable but not mandatory; strong organizational skills are essential for accurate data collection and analysis. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our inventory system while supporting the broader goals of supply chain efficiency and operational excellence.
Pay is $22 per hour.
This is an immediate temporary role required by our client.
