POSITION SUMMARY
The ERP Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business operations and IT to ensure that ERP solutions effectively support our business objectives. This position is responsible for thoroughly analyzing business needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and translating them into actionable, system-based solutions.
Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams, the ERP Business Analyst designs, tests, and delivers enhancements that improve business efficiency and ensure the ERP system evolves in alignment with organizational goals. By promoting process optimization and best practices, they contribute to the digital transformation and operational excellence of Convoy.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and assess operational needs and challenges.
- Conduct detailed requirements analysis and translate business needs into clear, functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather input from cross-functional users.
- Prioritize requirements based on business impact and feasibility.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Design functional solutions within the ERP system to meet defined requirements.
- Collaborate with development and configuration teams to ensure accurate implementation of changes.
- Lead and execute testing phases, including test case creation, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure that delivered solutions meet business expectations and operational standards.
Process Optimization & Documentation
- Analyze, map, and optimize existing business processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and standardization.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, test scripts, and user guides.
- Support change management by providing training and guidance to end-users.
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Promote ERP best practices and ensure consistent adoption across departments.
- Participate in ERP implementation projects, system upgrades, and process standardization initiatives.
- Support data integrity and governance initiatives to ensure reliable and accurate reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar ERP-focused role within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of core business processes: Purchasing, Sales, Inventory, and Finance.
- Experience in database query languages (MSSQL, Oracle SQL, MySQL).
- Proven experience in process mapping and business process reengineering.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and documentation standards.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office/computer-based work.
- Occasional travel and occasional work outside normal business hours may be required.
- Occasional presentations in a classroom or training setting.
