Maintenance Planner / MRO Buyer -  70k - 85k Annually

Overview:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this planner will lead effective planning of the maintenance program. This position is responsible for utilizing Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to continuously improve the work order system and to search for effective ways to reduced unplanned downtime significantly within the current practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the improvement of planned work through the use of the CMMS program such by identifying appropriate frequency and transitioning from time based to condition based
  • Maintain and continuously analyze the preventive maintenance schedule in collaboration with production schedule
  • Issue all PMs and CMs in a timely manner and closing all PMs and CMs once completed.
  • Catalogue & organize stockroom inventory, maintain minimum parts inventory & consumables.
  • Maintain maintenance records – service manuals and certifications.
  • Generating KPI reports and presenting to the management team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across internal departments as well as with external contractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Assist in the implementation of capital projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3  years of experience as a Maintenance Planner / Buyer
  • Experience in food manufacturing is an asset
  • Computer Savvy, practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
  • Experience within a food manufacturing facility
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Highly organized self-starter 
  • Able to maintain flexibility while consistently applying the facility’s policies and procedures.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 70k to 85K  depending on experience.
