The Sharepoint Administrator is accountable to the Business Relationship Manager to oversee the health of SharePoint, troubleshoot problems, provide support to end users and IT, keep it up to date, and see to it that it is configured to meet continuously-changing business requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Site and Account Management
    Creates and configures new SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, metadata fields, workflows and forms as required and driven by business. Configure Outlook client, in harmony appropriately to allow users to fully utilize SharePoint within Microsoft Outlook. Configure SharePoint and RecordPoint appropriately to execute retention rules, declaration rules, security permissions, custom web parts, advanced search module, etc. Responsible for global SharePoint configuration, shared services & implementing policies.
  2. Business Analysis
    Interviews users and translates business requirements into tangible configuration of SharePoint to meet business requirements. Produces written reports that define how SharePoint would be configured in response to a specific business requirement.
  3. Troubleshooting & Support
    Troubleshoots of SharePoint related problems as they occur & providing advice & support to end-users . Responds to incoming requests regarding SharePoint related problems as escalated from the Service Desk. Performs analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users; recommends and implements corrective solutions. When necessary, liaises with third-party support and vendors.
  4. Server Management
    Managing Morguard’s tenancy in the Azure cloud space, including usage fees, costs, storage space, performance, etc.
  5. Security & Permissions
    Defining, applying, administering and maintaining security permissions for all users of SharePoint.
  6. Monitoring and Maintenance
    Manages activity/function of SharePoint operations and uptime.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience of Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • A solid understanding of SharePoint API
  • Experience using technologies such as SharePoint designer, Visual Studio, .Net framework, SQL, C#, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery
  • XML/XSLT is an asset
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365, Power BI & PowerShell
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10 & network infrastructure (encryption, security, firewalls, etc.).
  • Good knowledge in ISS (Internet Information Server)
